All the hating here is just for the sake of hating. Just relax, this C&C game is just an f2p spinoff developed by a different studio. Of course EA made some dumb decisions the last few years, but so did Westwood in their time. As Alex said, Westwood was in deep shit and at the brink of bankruptcy. All the C&C fans should be thankfull that EA cared about C&C and continued the franchise. think about that, C&C could have been discontinued after red alert 1. So please stop the misplaced EA hate.

@Alex06CoSonic Good to know. Thanks man, but Bioware is coming into this? Although I love their games, I don’t see them doing a RTS style game. Maybe an RTS squad based RPG, like Mass Effect (Which would ROCK), but if it isn’t like that, then it might fail. I personally cannot wait for Generals 2. Generals 1 rocked, and cannot wait to see it revamped, and with new stuff added to it. Just hopefully not like C&C 4. That game destroyed the ending to the saga of Tiberium -_-.

Generals came much later, in 2003. And it was not really liked by the fans.
Also, Generals 2 is in production, google it. There’s a trailer and screenshots.

@Alex06CoSonic Fair enough, it still is a disappointment what they did with the Tiberium Saga. Tiberium Wars was ok, but C&C 4 was a fucking disaster.
@bladecrusher01 Also, Westwood was offered a buyout by EA. Without that, C&C would’ve died as Westwood was about to go bankrupt in 1998 due to Tiberian Sun. EA pushed and managed to get TS released. Without EA, you wouldn’t have had any more C&Cs past Red Alert 1. That would mean 2 C&C games would ever be released, and that’s it, nothing else past that.
EA saved Westwood and Tiberian Sun. And thus, they also saved the C&C franchise.
@bladecrusher01 This isn’t a sequel to Tiberium Wars or Tiberian Twilight. That sequel will be made by BioWare victory after they finish Generals 2. Those are the people responsible for the C&C franchise. The studio making Alliances is NOT affiliated with them and cannot do anything other than their own free-to-play games that they usually make.
This game is unrelated to the canon storyline of C&C. It’s just an additional free game for fans of C&C to enjoy if they want to.
