The aliens in the cinematic are much less threatenging than in the actual ga,e.
Oh man. That face at 0:45 never ceases to make me laugh my fucking head off.
For all who miss this game you can play it again if you get it off STEAM as i did, it runs great.
Thanks for putting this up. Had a massive attack of nostalgia for my misspent youth after it was announced Firaxis was making a proper remake.

this intro is on par with syndicate wars, the ps version and not pc as they are different

I remember that time when as a little guy I saw this intro for several times, it was creepy, and scary, for many old nightmares I thank for this video. Actually, it’s very impressive and amazing at the same time, but Jeez… it seeded some darkness inside me, like in Dexter. hehe.

@sdhubbard I remember my very first mission (a night mission of course), me trying to rush headlong against the aliens. All my squad died, and I didn’t really understand why XD
@KethamBodds I know. It’s a great intro, and it’s a great game, but there’s a bit of Cognitive dissonance there.

This must be one of the most misleading intros I’ve ever seen in my life.
@SlyNicolai The lag is fixable, and it takes a lot less work to do that than it does to get it running from the discs. Trust me, I’ve done both.
