Question by Marikon: best games for pc all time?
could anyone help me put down any games you can think of that are complex, has alot to do and are long

the best games I myself can think of are in this order of randomness,,,,

fallout 1&2
morrowind 3
never winter nights 1 and 2
space rangers 2 reboot
sacred and sacred underworld

Diablo 2
Gothic 1 and 2
spellforce 1 and 2
Baulders gate
Planeshift torment

so far like.. Diablo 2 and sacred were awesome couse of the long gameplays and letting me customize my items…

I just loved space rangers but it was turn based yet it didnt seem too dull to work with it was great otherwise

anyone has more fantasy/scifi/rpg/ w,e no shooters tho…

Anyone knows other titles with complex abd huge world allowing you to do alot …. I also dig alot of replayable games that change every game… good example would be the game
Fate’

Thank you for any and all titles you guys could think of , I am sure there are few more that I never even heard of …

also Master of orion 2 was great

PLUS I loved Ufo Aftershock !
and xcom enemy unknown

    Generalizing.

@TucoBenedictoPax The Information is far to young to know if ~this~ will be in it..thats my point, they just give you a rough estimate how it could be, that doesn’t mean that it will be “move and attack” only, could be “move, attack, move”, but I guess talking about it now doesn’t do anyone good, as the information is simply not there.
So I guess we will have to wait.

the problem i see with the screenshot is… XBOX360 controller button icons! NOOOOOO!

  7. Sheepy007 says:

Oh boy, AJ talking about the information out of a magazine reminds me of that HIMYM episode, with that anchorman reading from the Newspapers every morning.

Hope it’s not another Sword of the Stars II …..Aka, Shit :P

  9. prostemeno says:

well i like turn based strategy shooter so Im haped about rerelease of Jagged Alliance

  10. TucoBenedictoPax says:

@Nikagor Well, you are msissing the point. that’s exactly how it worked before and what you CAN’T do anymore.
now you can’t split your movement first and after shooting. You have to move and shoot, or shoot and move.
Do I have to word it differently? Let’s try it: it doesn’t matter anymore if you move one meter or ten. Once you make a step and shoot, even if you should have “5 move points” left, you are forced to pass your turn. How can this not be a dumbing down compared to the previous system?

  11. Nikagor says:

@TucoBenedictoPax Well I know several turn based strategy games, likes M.A.X., where you have seperated move and attackpoints for some vehicels and where you got a joined movesystem, maybe depending on the class this will be the same.
Lets take your example and say we got a soldier with six movepoint, he moves one to get around the corner, two shots means 2 MP’s, go back one MP, go to crawling half and turn around another half.and still one MP for the alien round to shoot.

  12. GhostFS says:

Spoony will be even more happy :)

  13. xReikenx says:

Joe is so happy. Probably too happy for his own good.

I hope the game is awesome though. Hell. It’s not exactly difficult to recreate the game and add onto it. Just buy the game from steam for a couple of bucks and remake it.

The only thing I’m genuinely concerned about is that the screenshot showed Xbawks buttons. God damn it. PC focus please. Consoles never handle strategy games properly. D:

Bad enough that consoles already ruin FPS and RPG’s for PC. Moslty the devs fault though. Lazy. >:

  14. cruzdt says:

Question for them: Will there be co-op & versus multiplayer? There are other wanna be x-com games out there that managed to utilize this. Frozen Synapse managed to do this.

  15. VanbastenB says:

Oh my god.. I am so excited for this now :O

  16. scariahh13 says:

i am surprised that joe likes alot of stagey but has never played starcraft2, thumbs up so joe can get hooked on the game, cause i think he will be amazed of how good the game is.

@jnthn1984 Well there are still some successfull examples, mortal kombat 9 being one of the most obvious one.
